acqueline Coicou, passed away gracefully into the arms of Jesus on March 30th, 2023. She was born to Dieudonner Destine and Hypomene Laguerre on November 30th 1943 in Port -au-Prince, Haiti. She was an accomplished seamstress , a caregiver and a tenured employee at Gurwin Home Care Agency. She was diligent with a strong sense of duty. In her early years, Jackie met her soulmate Hibert Coicou at age of 15, and later got married at the age of 22. There are not many relationships that can be compared to the one they had. Jackie main purpose in life was to care and provide a better life for her family. She had great dreams for them. Jackie had to make a crucial decision In order to create a path of success for her and her family, and to accomplish the dreams she always had. In 1986 she left her beloved husband and seven children in Haiti and moved to the US . After moving to the United States, life was very arduous for her, she spent several years without seeing her family. No matter of the circumstances she always had to keep her head high and focused on her goals. Eventually, this substantial sacrifice was paid off and she was able to accomplish her goals. In 2003 , Jackie lost her husband and decided to stay a widow until the Lord called her home. She survived by her seven children, Eddy Coicou Marie France Shlezar, Berline Olivier, Clifford Coicou, Farah Coriolan, Katiana Mathurin, Junior Hibert Coicou. She left behind twenty grandchildren, Kervendy Coicou, Tacheena Coicou, Ryan Coicou, Ednick Coicou , Nayah Coicou , Noah Coicou, Cynthia Shlezar, Christina Shlezar, Willjerry Fequiere, Stanley Fequiere, Kimberly Fequiere, Bryan Fequiere, Starmaelle Coicou, Clarinda Coicou, Randolph Coriolan, Jayden Coriolan, Zachary Mathurin, Brielle Mathurin, Alarick Mathurin, Maysen Coicou ; and her three great grandchildren children, Kylie Fequiere, August Fequiere and Kyrie Coicou. Jackie had the opportunity to share the same love she had for her children with her twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was an extraordinary person, a woman who walked by faith and put God above all. In her pass times she loved to go to shopping, talked on the phone, go to church and do the rosaries. She was a member of the Catholic church ,and also a member of different prayer groups such as “Feu Divin, and Pitit Manman Marie”. She was very generous, thoughtful , and altruistic. Jacqueline loved and served the Lord with all her heart and soul. She truly exemplified the character and integrity of a true Christian. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior and her family, and tried to live life the fullest. She was many things to many people. She was a loving mother, the greatest granny, wonderful sister, but most of all God s loving Christian angel. She touched the spirit of everyone she came in contact with through her empathetic nature. Jacqueline Coicou, you will forever be remembered.
