Obituary of Angelina Caravella

The world was blessed with Angelina Caravella’s light on June 12th, 1925. Her big, beautiful life has been full of 97 years of love, strength, friendship and family. Ann was a strong, unstoppable woman with her heart centered in family, love and tradition. She was a force who was never intimidated by hard work or a challenge and would always accomplish whatever she put her mind to. If you told her she couldn’t do something, you were most definitely going to be proven wrong. She was playful, light hearted and hilarious. She had a way of making us all laugh with her quick wit, quirks and risqué sense of humor. She was always up for fun, a good joke, banter, a little time at the slot machines (ok a lot of time) and a big laugh. Her hands and heart created endless amazing traditional meals and desserts both for everyday and for the holidays. They crocheted countless blankets, hats, mittens, baby booties and "other” assorted items. They sewed dresses, curtains and clothing. They comforted others and they came together to pray every single day. Ann’s hands rested easily in the love of her life, Ben’s, for over 76 years until the moment she took her very last breath. Their love is pure, boundless and eternal. Ann’s love and spirit lives on in all who love her deeply and her big, beautiful family. She is the mother to 4 daughters, grandmother to 12 , great grandmother to 22 and great- great-grandmother to 2. Together we celebrate her life, her love and the countless ways she has nourished our hearts and our lives. May we all live in the gift of her example by grabbing hold of life everyday with strength, a light heart and laughter.
