Obituary of Giosue Caputo

Giosue Caputo was born March 1,1935 in Pannarano. A municipality in the Province of Benevento, region of Campania, Italy. Since he had a unique name, he told people call me Joe or to pronounce his name, Joe’s Way. His father came to The United States and then returned to Italy, where Giosue grew up during WWII with his six sisters. In the late 1940’s his father returned to his building maintenance business in NYC. Then Giosue and his younger sisters, Sara and Licia joined the rest of the family in December 1950. Giosue worked with his father and eventually took over the business and retired after 50 plus years. He met his future wife, Leona, at a church roller Skating function. They married on November 23, 1957. Giosue loved to hunt and fish and bought property upstate NY to do just that which he enjoyed for many years. He also had a small apple orchard, vegetable garden and chestnut trees. He is survived by his wife Leona, Sons Frank, and Mark. His daughters and their husbands Diane & Bobby, Janice & Eddie, and Eleonora & Sim and his much-loved grandchildren Stephanie, Eddie and Joe.
