Obituary of Vincent Rode

Vincent Rode Jr. passed away on Monday January 3, 2022. He is survived by a loving family who were blessed to have been a part of his life. His story begins on March 16, 1938 in Yugoslavia. He emigrated to the United States at age 16 with his parents Vinko and Jerica along with his sister Sonja. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the Army. On November 24, 1962, he married the love of his life Ann. Together they raised their six children; Ann Marie, Vincent, Catherine, Susan, Mary and David. Vinny, as he was known by all, was a metal artisan by trade. He became part owner of Beacon Artisans in 1973. The various pieces of furniture he designed, constructed and finished were true works of art. Among his hobbies were bowling, fishing, gardening, and cooking. However, his true passion was his family. He always put his family first. Vinny was devoted to his wife Ann and their love story continued for 59 wonderful years. He treated his daughter in-laws Marie and Kristina, along with his son in law Vincent as if they were his own. He enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren Christine, Jerica, Liam, Anthony, Hugh, Zachary, Katie, Aidan, Susan and Kara. He will be forever remembered for his ever-present smile and his kindness to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents Vinko and Jerica, his daughter Susan and his sister Sonja. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
