Obituary of Adriana Mignano (Vannini) January 5, 1924- July 17, 2021 Adriana (Vannini) Mignano was born January 5, 1924, in Florence, Italy, the first child of 6 siblings and first daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Guido Vannini. She passed away in her sleep after an adventurous, wonderful, and fruitful life in her sleep during the evening on July 17, 2021. She was 97 1/2 years old. Adriana was preceded in death by five of her siblings: Romano, Franco, Adriano, Franca and Romana, her husband Carlo Mignano and twin sons Carl and Salvatore Mignano. She is survived by her son Christopher Mignano and his wife Regina, Her Daughter-in-law Joann Bailey and her husband Bill; her Grandchildren Lisa Mignano-Marino and Husband Vincent; Brian Mignano and his wife Dawn; Darren Mignano and his wife April; Denise Frederick and her husband Terry; and Michael, Paul, Adriana and Erica Mignano; and her great grandchildren Nicholas, Victoria and Matthew Marino, Dominic Frederick, and Ava and Dylan Mignano. In addition, she is also survived by countless nieces and nephews and lifelong friends both here in the United States and in her Home abroad in Florence, Italy. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church in Franklin Square, N.Y. She was known for her work at Prosperity Cleaners in Rosedale, Queens and PurrFect Cleaners in Valley Stream, N.Y. before retiring at the age of 65 in 1989. She was tough and resilient but also a sweet and kind woman, great cook, a singer trained in Opera, and very shrewd in matters of finance and managing family affairs (and common sense).
